In a co-creation session under guidance of Giuseppe Porcaro we explore and work on speculative scenarios that challenge the status quo in Europe. If democracy needs imagination, than our futures depend on it. Let’s overcome negative discourses in order to revive future visions for Europe.

Giuseppe Porcaro works as the head of communications for Bruegel, an international think tank specialising in economic policy. His novel Disco Sour has been awarded the second Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach: Spreading Knowledge about Europe from the European Union.

Guido Snel is a novelist, translator, and senior lecturer European Literatures at the University of Amsterdam. His academic work focuses on the political and artistic imagination of the geography of Europe and its borders. A monography (working title The Recognizable European) is in the making.
