Stones are among the most fundamental, yet often neglected, building blocks of our world. When a fictional nature documentary narrator, portrayed by Siân Phillips, begins to examine her kidney stone, she decides to tell one final story about this forgotten realm of stone.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a mesmerizing essay film that not only addresses urgent ecological issues but also takes us on a fascinating journey. We meet Palestinian stonemasons, passionate British geologists, and the inhabitants of a lava landscape on Fogo, all of whom reveal their own unique relationship with stone.
Following the screening, director Sofie Benoot will join us for a conversation about the making of this extraordinary film.
