With these photo’s Carlies Mol wants to show a perspective based on the dignity of all people despite any political, cultural or religious point of view.
All photos present daily life situations in Middle Eastern countries in a minimalistic and colourful way. The photos show a constructive point of view of a region which is mostly known of one-dimensional information giving. With these photo’s I want to show a perspective based on the dignity of all people despite any political, cultural or religious point of view.
About me (Carlies Mol): I always had a strong interest in human behaviour, cultures and art. Resulting in photography from a young age, travels around the world and studies in Psychology and Middle Eastern studies. The combination of this all has resulted in a platform of Middle Eastern photography and political psychology focussing on the relationships between Western- and Middle Eastern countries. I want to show a human-based perspective by photography and explanation in written and spoken language. I hope I can make people think critically about the things that are mostly taken for granted.
