NOOR and Nikon invite photographers to submit their portfolios for selection for the 2015 NOOR-Nikon Masterclass in Documentary Photography taking place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands 16 through 20 November 2015. The masterclass is open to young and aspiring documentary photographers and photojournalists from: The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom and Ireland. THE MASTERCLASS
During the five-day masterclass 15 participants, together with three NOOR member photographers; Stanley Greene (US), Bénédicte Kurzen (FR) & Asim Rafiqui (SE/US), will share experiences, work on portfolios, improve editing skills and learn how to pick up and develop stories. Each day consists of intensive communication with the photographers on subjects ranging from technical aspects of shooting to the nuances of the international photo market. It is a unique opportunity to learn impactful visual storytelling, develop a personal vision, and gain new knowledge and contacts in an intimate and interactive environment. The masterclass is free of charge and includes lunch and drinks. Please note that travel, accommodation and additional meals are not covered and should be arranged by individual participants. Tijdens de vijf dagen durende masterclass zullen 15 deelnemers, begeleidt door drie NOOR-fotografen, hun ervaringen uitwisselen, aan hun portfolio's werken, hun redactionele vaardigheden verbeteren, en leren hoe je aan verhalen komt en deze vervolgens ontwikkelt. Elke dag zal bestaan uit intensieve uitwisseling met de begeleidende fotografen over onderwerpen van technische aspecten van het fotograferen tot en met de nuances van de internationale fotografiemarkt. De masterclass biedt een unieke mogelijkheid tot het leren van visual storytelling met impact, tot het ontwikkelen van een persoonlijke visie en het verwerven van nieuwe kennis en contacten, en dit allemaal in een intieme en interactieve omgeving. Deelname aan de masterclass is gratis en voor lunch en drinken wordt gezorgd. Reis- en verblijfkosten en aanvullende maaltijden zijn voor eigen rekening. Als je voor de workshop wordt geselecteerd, vragen wij je een korte opdracht te voltooien voordat de workshop begint.
