As part of the 3Package Deal, De Balie & Veem House for Performance present the performance OMNI TOXICA by the Colombian performer and queer activist Paula Chaves & the Brazilian theatre director Thais di Marco.
OMNI TOXICA is a journalistic and forensic performative ritual on the history of Coca and how it passed from being a sacred, medicinal plant to a highly addictive and degenerative substance (cocaine). After the performance there will be a conversation with the audience and performers.

De Balie, Veem House for Performance and De Ateliers selected artist Paula Chaves in light of the international talent development program the 3PackageDeal, for a 1-year residency in Amsterdam during which Paula Chaves develops her artistic work and network. Earlier artists that have been selected by our Engaged Art coalition were Anthony Nestel (Belgium), Ogutu Muraya (Kenia) and Jaha Koo (South-Korea).
