Hugo Bezombes

Hugo Bezombes is storyteller and engineer.

The media Europeans consume about each other is mediated through an Anglocentric worldview and value system. Instead, Hugo Bezombes wants to give Europe a voice of its own to empower it to discuss its future on its own terms. While he first did a bachelor’s in engineering, and worked for two years at a start-up, he realized that he was more interested in telling stories than in making calculations. He then switched directions to study media at Utrecht University.

An aspiring journalist, Hugo took his first stride towards his goal, starting ‘Into Europe’, a media platform to create videos about European politics, policy and geopolitics. In the space of one and a half year, he has reached 60.000 subscribers on YouTube. He now hopes to build an organisation bigger than himself, to fulfil his mission.
