Klara-Emilia Kajdi is German, Hungarian, and French and was born and raised in Berlin. She recently graduated with a MA in East European studies at the University of Amsterdam. She is especially interested in human rights, history, cinema, memory politics and culture and their points of intersection with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe.
She loves the multitude of Europe and believes in an intersectional, inclusive and decentralised European sphere. She hopes for better integration and visibility of Eastern Europe in a future with an eastern enlargement and a step away from the West-European dominance within Europe’s political and cultural sphere. Her primary focus lies in the cultural field, as no political integration is possible without cultural integration.
Her steps towards reaching these goals consist of her activities as a writer, historical educator and her work within the cinema field.
