Okke Loman
Okke Loman is an entrepreneur.
On the intersection of digital innovation and a social/environmental cause is where you can find Okke.
His claim? Realising the Sustainable Development Goals can only happen by creating a mission economy backed by continuous democratic feedback.
In other words: only if governments can formulate radical objectives and execute on them together with the private sector – whilst involving society at large – we are able to overcome the challenges of today. This implies ameliorating deliberative procedures, by means such as citizen consultations and setting up investment funds based on measurable societal targets.
For the last few years Okke has been founding, building and leading ESG (environment, social, governance) companies within the financial sector.
Prior to that Okke was involved with numerous foundations, ranging from reforestation projects in Indonesia to local youth camps.
Okke writes about democratic deliberation, nature policy and innovation. And he is known for being modest.
