EVERY BODY (2023) – Official WorldPride 2026 Film Screening & Panel Discussion

Join us for a special evening celebrating intersex visibility, joy, and community with a screening of the acclaimed documentary EVERY BODY (2023), part of the official WorldPride 2026 programme in Amsterdam.

For the first time in a Dutch cinema, audiences will have the opportunity to experience this groundbreaking documentary that centers the lives, voices, and experiences of intersex people. Through intimate stories and powerful advocacy, EVERY BODY challenges long-standing misconceptions and sheds light on the realities, resilience, and joy of the intersex community—the “I” within LGBTIQ+.

Intersex people make up a significant yet still largely invisible part of society. Despite increasing awareness, intersex individuals continue to face stigma, discrimination, and human rights violations, including in the Netherlands. This evening aims to create greater visibility, understanding, and dialogue around intersex experiences and human rights.

Importantly, the event embraces a perspective that goes beyond narratives of trauma and medicalization. While these experiences deserve recognition, intersex lives are also filled with self-acceptance, humour, love, friendship, creativity, and pride. By centering intersex joy, we celebrate people not only surviving but thriving—reclaiming their stories and living authentically on their own terms.

Following the screening, a 30-minute interactive panel discussion will invite audience members to engage with intersex advocates and community members on the themes raised in the film. The evening will conclude with informal drinks at the venue bar, providing an opportunity to connect, reflect, and continue the conversation.

• 22:00 onwards – Informal drinks and networking
