With the European Parliament elections coming up in May 2019, the time is now to tackle critical issues in Europe, such as rights-abusive governments, increasing threats to democracy, and the challenges involved in migration.

During this Human Rights Weekend, we organize a House of Commons-style debate on Europe in the world of 2019. Together with Human Rights Watch and members of the European and Dutch Parliament, we explore the European future.

Will you join the debate as well and find out where you stand?

With: Sophie in ‘t Veld (Member of the European Parliament for Democrats 66 Party and the First Vice-President of the Alliance for Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) in the European Parliament), Judith Sargentini (Member of the European Parliament for the Dutch Greens), Philippe Dam (Advocacy Director for Europe and Central Asia at Human Rights Watch) Kati Piri (Member of the European Parliament for PvdA and Turkey rapporter) and Anne Mulder (Member of the Dutch Parliament for VVD)

Moderator: Marcia Luyten
