In Sarajevo, the 15-year-old Iman seeking validation claims that she had sex for the first time during a game of truth or dare among middle schoolers. Trapped in her own lie, she invents a pregnancy and becomes the center of a controversy that spirals out of control.
Excursion shows how a teenage girl’s seemingly little lie leads her into a storm of expectations, condemnation, and social dogmas. The film premiered in Locarno and was Bosnia’s entry for the 2024 Academy Awards.

Durven politici te weinig politieke keuzes te maken? ‘Dat houdt geen stand bij de rechter/Brussel/Raad van State.’ Met dat argument worden de plannen van populistische politici regelmatig afgeschreven.
