Deze zomer zijn onder meer Maria Callas, Leonard Cohen & Marianne Ihlen, Charles Aznavour, Jane Birkin in De Balie te zien. In samenwerking met Piece of Magic vertonen we een aantal monumentale concertregistraties, waaronder het eenmalige concert van operaster Maria Callas op 19 december 1958 in de Opéra in Parijs en een intiem portret van moeder Jane Birkin en haar dochter Charlotte Gainsbourg. Daarnaast zie je deze zomer in De Balie een aantal veelgeprezen documentaires waarin de levens van muzikale grootheden als Frank Zappa en Leonard Cohen en zijn muse Marianne Ihlen geportretteerd worden.

This summer, in collaboration with Piece of Magic, De Balie Cinema will bring you closer to Maria Callas, Leonard Cohen & Marianne Ihlen, Frank Zappa, Charles Aznavour, and Jane Birkin. We are presenting several monumental concert recordings, including the one-time performance of opera star Maria Callas on December 19, 1958, at the Opéra in Paris, as well as an intimate portrait of mother Jane Birkin and her daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg. Additionally, this summer at De Balie, you can watch several acclaimed documentaries that portray the lives of musical legends such as Frank Zappa and Leonard Cohen and his muse Marianne Ihlen.
