Michael Cunningham is one of the greatest writers of our time. His latest novel Day is a beautiful family saga about survival and fortitude about loss and love. During this evening we will talk with him and Connie Palmen about this novel and his previous works, the way he depicts family life and relationships like no other and his love for literature.

Michael Cunningham is a novelist, screenwriter, and educator. His novels include A Home at the End of the World, Flesh and Blood, Specimen Days, By Nightfall, and The Snow Queen. The Hours was a New York Times bestseller, and the winner of both the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Pulitzer Prize. Raised in Los Angeles, Michael Cunningham lives in New York City, and is a senior lecturer at Yale University. His novel Day came out in 2023.

Connie Palmen is the author of essays, stories, a novella, Het logboek van een ombarmhartig jaar, and her six major novels De Wetten (European Novel of the Year), De vriendschap (winner of the AKO Literature Prize), I.M.
