België, 1999. Twee doodgevroren tieners worden aangetroffen in het landingsgestel van een vliegtuig uit Guinea. Op hun lichamen wordt een brief gevonden, gericht aan de Europese autoriteiten, waarin de twee vluchtelingen hun ballingschap rechtvaardigen.
Geïnspireerd op dit tragische nieuwsbericht maakte de Guinese dichter, schrijver en theatermaker samen met regisseur Diane Chavelet: A Bout de Soeurs. Een poëtische voorstelling over mensen die op zoek zijn naar een beter bestaan. Voor zijn aangrijpende en actuele tekst ontving Bah de Laurent Terzieff-Pascale, de Boysson prijs.
Voor het programma (18:30) gaat De Balie in gesprek met o.a. Jay Pather (artistiek directeur van Afrovibes) over de thematiek van de voorstelling. Kaarten halen kan hier.

Belgium, 1999. Two teenagers frozen to death are found in the landing gear of a plane from Guinea. They have a letter on their bodies, addressed to European authorities, in which the two refugees justify their exile.
Inspired by this tragic news report, the Guinean poet, writer and theatre-maker, together with director Diane Chavelet, created A Bout de Soeurs. A poetic performance about people searching for a better life. For his poignant and topical text, Bah received the Laurent Terzieff-Pascale, the Boysson Prize.
